Descriptive statistics

Evergreen Life has 835,000 registered users who have completed over 1,000,000 health related questionnaires. Of those users, 507,000 have an established link to their GP’s information systems to either download their health record, request medication or book an appointment.

The Evergreen Life Research Team is committed to the integrity of its data and the transparency of its methods. The figures, below, show a number of distributions that describe the Evergreen Life user base (and thus its research pool) and, where appropriate, compare these data to those obtained via the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

Age and Sex

The chart, below, show the male-female split of the Evergreen Life user base, in one-year age-bins, plotted against the same data from the ONS 2019 estimates [1]. The Evergreen Life data are broadly representative, with some skew towards younger females.

Index of Multiple Deprivation (2019)

The histogram, below, displays the frequency distribution of Evergreen Life users, binned by their IMD-19 decile [2], such that decile 1 corresponds to the most deprived 10% of LSOAs and decile 10 the least deprived. The horizontal line spanning all densities at 10% is included for reference. The Evergreen Life user-base is largely representative of the population, with a small amount of skew towards less deprived populations.

The table, below, shows Evergreen Life users' self-reported ethnicities, compared with those recorded in the 2011 census for England and Wales [3]. Categories have been combined where ethnicity category selection differed. When compared to ONS Census data, Evergreen users are broadly representative in terms of ethnicity.
